Trick R Treat Horror Movie Review
I haven't seen a lot of good Halloween movie in awhile, then I came across this gem. Did you know there are actual traditions with Halloween? This film will tell you some of them. Released in October 2007 this horror anthology showed me there can be a good Halloween themed horror movie. The stories range from a serial killer, to werewolf's, to children ghosts. The children ghost story has a hint of sadness. My favorite was little Sam. A little person wearing a pumpkin head who wants everyone to follow the tradition of Halloween. Though the stories can be seen as independent they do all related, one by the people in them, and little Sam makes a appearance in all of them. Some of the film is disturbing and a little scary it's not going to make you have nightmares. It does have some very good stories in them and it's nice to see how all of them relate to each other. The visuals in this movie are very well done. I really like the werewolf's and of course Sam is done just perfect. I liked all of the characters costumes through out the stories. The sound and music in the movie were also very well done. It stars Anna Paquin (X-men, True Blood), Dylan Baker, Brian Cox, and Leslie Bibb. Produced by Bryan Singer. Directed by Michael Dougherty. There is some truly scary sound effects in this movie. The film was released to positive reviews. There has been Sam figure's made and even a comic book version of the movie. A sequel was announced in 2009. Sam has been in several shorts directed by the director of the movie. I recommend this film pretty highly. I give this film a 7/10
