Lego Dimensions PS4 Review LEGO Dimensions is a toys-to-life crossover video game, in the style of Disney Infinity and Skylanders, developed by LEGO and Traveller's Tales, was released on September 27, 2015. The game is available for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and Wii U. We are currently on season 2 wave 8. Unlike other Lego games instead of unlocking people to use, you’ll use your base and figures you have to buy, then set them on the base to play as them The base game comes with wild style, Gandalf, Batman, and the bat mobile. The packs also include a vehicle that as three builds that you get to put together in real life. The base game’s story is this taken from wiki, When a mysterious and powerful vortex suddenly appears in various LEGO worlds, Robin, from the DC Comics universe, MetalBeard, from the LEGO Movie universe and Frodo, from the Lord of the Rings universe are swept away. To save their friends, Batman, Gandalf and Wyldstyle bravely jump into the vortex. As they journey to locations beyond their wildest imaginations in search of their friends, they soon realize that Lord Vortech is summoning villains from across different LEGO worlds to help him gain control. As his power grows, worlds mix, unexpected characters meet and all boundaries are broken. Our heroes must travel through space and time to rescue their friends before the vortexes destroy all of LEGO humanity. The draw to this game is the properties that they were able to acquire. Back to the future, DC, Wizzard of oz, Ghostbusters, Doctor Who, Scooby Doo, The Simpsons, Midway, Jurassic world, Ninjago, Chima, Portal and others. While you don’t need the extra figures to play the base game levels you will need them for their abilities and access to story packs and worlds, so they don’t leave you much choice. This is a very expensive game if you want to 100% the game and check out all the worlds. Curent Story packs are Ghostbusters 2016, Lego Batman The Movie, and Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them. The year two pack has even better properties, Gremlins, E.T., Adventure Time, A-Team, Knight Rider, Lego Batman the Movie, even Goonies. The game plays like a normal Lego game so you’ll know already if you’ll like it. The sound, graphics and controls are perfectly fine for this game; the only fall has to be switching the figures when you have more than 7 on the pad. The adventure worlds and separate story packs are big. It’s fun watching different properties interacts with each other. I laughed my ass of when Batman confused krusty the clown for the joker. The main story is great and all the separate story packs are good as well, while the level packs can be under whelming. The problems come in waiting months for each wave to be released, the price of the packs, and my god the bugs. This game has the most bugs I have ever seen in any game before. Every time they fix one they make another. Also be wary as there is talk of no more seasons after they release Beetlejuice, power puff girls, and teen titans. If you can find these cheap do yourself and favor and give this one a try. Also worth noting you will need internet for the updates.
