E.V.O Super Nintendo Review
It's time for my first Super Nintendo review and the game is in my top ten favorite Super Nintendo games. It's E.V.O The Search For Eden. You play as a life form that help Gaia enter new eras. Your to take on a trial every era. What this means is to evolve and fight a boss at the end of each stage. You have several eras. First is the fish era, then the land era, then dinosaurs, then ice age, and finally early man. Each era has a map which as several levels. You may move to each level and go back to earlier levels. You can not go back eras though. Every time you kill a enemy you get evo points. Which you may spend on upgrading you features, which makes you faster, stronger, jump higher, fly and so on. This proves to be a lot of fun because it also changes your appearance. You go from a little fish to something that resembles a shark. If you follow a guide it is also possible to become a human in the last level. You can save up to fifty changes. There is some grinding involved to upgrading, but in this game it's fun. You can usually go back and forth on the screen and items sometimes reappear as with enemy's. There are some epic story moments such as climbing out of the water and the meteor hitting earth wiping out the dinosaurs. There is a save feature so you wont have to enter any passwords or have to start all over from the begging if you turn off the game. The graphics are what we expect from a Super Nintendo, just beautiful. The sound is pretty good, there are some generic sounds. The music is very nice and crisp. The controls feel nice and responsive. Jump, bite, eat, fly and dash. It will take a lot of time to see all the combination you can come up. Each era features more and more upgrades. The dinosaur era is my favorite. It's fine to try and upgrade till you make a T-Rex or a triceratops. When you get hurt you can kill enemy's and turn them into meat which you can eat to recover some health. There also are some dialogs from the animals which fill in some of the story. The end boss is pretty hard. This is a game you wanna take your time with. This is definite a good game. I give it a 9/10
