Critter Movies 1-4 Review
I've watched horror movies since I was a very little kid. The fourth movie I ever remember seeing was Critters. This was not that scary and a lot of fun. I loved this movie. Well years later they would make more. In fact three more would follow. The first two would star a little known person named Scott Grimes, who later would become the voice of Steve Smith on American Dad. The only person to reprise their role throughout the series would be Don Keith Opper, who played my favorite hero Charlie. Terrance Mann also appeared in all of them but having smaller roles in three and four. The whole things starts of with the crites or critters being captured and escaping the prison. Before they leave the warden mentions they had to kill some because the crites where eating everything. The prison hires Ugg and Lee shape shifting bounty hunters to kill them. The critters land on earth one night and invade a town named Grover's Bend. The bounty hunters view earth history and Ugg decides to become a rock singer. Lee however struggles to find a form he likes and shape shifts constantly through one and two. The critters invade the farm of the Brown's, where Brad and his family live. They have a town drunk named charlie working there. They all come together and fight the crites. Charlie helps saves the day and leaves with the hunters. A couple years later Brad returns to Grover's Bend and eggs are found and hatch. Once again the bounty hunters come back with Charlie who is now a bounty hunter. Once again Charlie saves the day. This time Charlie stays on earth to protect it. Enter Critters three. Charlie is stay at it hunting crites and warns some kids about them at a rest stop. The critters have eggs under a truck and hitch a ride to a new town. The residents of the building fight the crites. Charlie once again pops up and saves the day again. He then gets a message that there are only two eggs left in the entire galaxy and he has to put them in a pod. He screws up and falls in. Enter the last Critters movie. Critters four, critters in space. Same formula as we're used to. One plot twist towards the end. I tried not to give any big spoilers from the movies. This is just a fun series. There are a few deaths in it, but are pretty mild compared to today's Saw deaths. The critters look alright and are mean. I give the series 7/10
