A Boy And His Blob Nintendo Review
Jellybeans check, boy check, big area check, blob check. Wait blob, oh it must be A Boy And His Blob on Nintendo. That's right I'm reviewing A Boy And His Blob on Nes. First thing you should know is this is a game is a fun kids game. It's a little bit of a puzzle adventure. You control the boy. You feed your blob jelly beans. The blob then transforms into different things depending on what jelly bean you feed him. You get licorice jelly beans which turn the blob into a ladder, strawberry jelly bean which turn the blob into a bridge, Coconut jelly beans which turn him into a coconut, cola which turns him into a bubble, root beer which turns him into a rocket, cinnamon which turns him into a blowtorch, and a few more. You start off in the boys city, then the subway, then underground and eventually the blobs planet. The controls are very loose. You'll find yourself running of cliffs because the boy doesn't stop moving when you let go off the buttons. The b button whistles for the blob, which also makes him transform back into the blob. The a button throws jelly beans. The select button which selects different jelly beans. You can't jump but you can turn the blob into a trampoline and jump that way. Don't run out of certain jelly beans at certain times or you will have to reset and play again. It's best to write down what jelly bean does what, then reset and play. You collect several things and this will make up most the game. See a item, use blob to get it, move on. The music is cute but replays over and over. This is anther game where you will die a lot before beating it. It requires a lot of trial and error. There is one jellybean you only get one of and that is the key jelly bean. This was a game I remember playing as a kid and loving it. I didn't beat it until much later in life. The ending is nothing great but you'll be proud you made it all the way through it. I give it a 7/10
